Blood pressure check

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, so knowing your numbers matters. Call in for a quick check and clear advice from our pharmacy team.

Know your numbers

Blood pressure is one of the simplest things to check and one of the most useful to know. Because high blood pressure rarely causes symptoms, a regular check is the best way to stay on top of it.

Our team can take a reading for you and our pharmacist will explain what it means in plain language, with clear advice on what to do next.

Blood pressure - common questions

Do I need an appointment for a blood pressure check?

No. Call in to Lynch's Pharmacy on Lower Main Street and ask a member of our team, or phone us on 066 7142479.

What do the numbers mean?

A blood pressure reading has two numbers. Our pharmacist will talk you through what your reading means and whether it is in a healthy range for you.

What happens if my blood pressure is high?

A single high reading does not always mean a problem, as blood pressure changes through the day. If your reading is high, our pharmacist will advise you and, where appropriate, recommend you see your GP.

Who should check their blood pressure?

It is worth knowing your numbers for everyone, and especially if you are over 40, have a family history of high blood pressure, or have been advised to keep an eye on it.
